One with only two parties, and where the winner is the one with the most balloons (or billionaire donors donors these days).</p> <p>Now I realise it's actually a #monarchy or #dictatorship and it's just that previous #POTUS incumbents either didn't realise this, or they did they did but refrained from going down that path. Either way, the system perpetuated with its frail and corroded guard rails.</p> <p>Now we have the #NeoFascist #Project2025 in power, with their #Malignant #Narcisist puppet on the (golden) throne, beating upon democracy's guardrails. Turns out, they don't really work. The #Monarch simply issues proclamations & the sheep follow, absent check or balance.</p> <p>Elected #representatives are either #complicit or seem unable to wield the power they are supposed to possess. The #courts are trying, but move with ponderous gait which has been OK in the past where everyone played by the assumed #rules and followed #DuePprocess.</p> <p>But now #POSOTUS and his #fascist enablers ignore the courts, representatives seem to require no consideration, their complicity is so complete. The result? We are watching #TheRiseOfFascism #LiveStreamed in real-time. It could easily be #TheFallOfDemocracy</p> <p>Soldiers on the streets facing down #US #citizens. Images that until this week would only have come from a failed state overrun by #drug #cartels. Make no mistake though. The US is NOT a #FailedState, YET. As we watch the creep of #oppression, the erosion of #CivicSociety, and the loss of #HumanRights toward the population of the #USA, where is the tipping point?
