I keep seeing bald men rubbing their hands together over Burnham like their team's just signed Messi and now they can get on with winning the double and I need these bald men to understand what seems blatantly obvious to me: LABOUR CANNOT WIN AN ELECTION WITHOUT THE LEFT.

You know, the left that held noses and voted Labour throughout the Blair/Brown years. The left that cares about politics more deeply than nodding along to a couple of podcasts and columns a week and have bleated on about the clear & present danger of the far right for years.

The left that was screaming at bald men for two elections that it's either hold your nose and get behind Corbyn (like we have had to with your grey little offerings time after time) or you're going to end up with a fascist in No. 10 before too long.

Al Carns can talk about pits and shipyards all he wants but in my experience that's not who does the ground work for Labour, certainly not round where I live. It's not shipwrights or miners and it certainly isn't very comfortable middle class bald men.

It's the left. It's the ppl who are really invested in not letting the right get in because it will directly affect them and theirs. It's ppl with a disabled sibling, a gay kid or an immigrant spouse. It's a 30ish mum that relies on benefits to keep the kids fed and warm.

It's the retired academic hippies that are currently on terrorism charges for opposing a genocide you fucking muppets. These are the kind of people I have known that knock doors for Labour and they are all fucking furious.

Bald men, please. You need to understand that Burnham is not going to undo this. He is not capable of winning us all back in the next two years. We were all thoroughly sick of propping up a bunch of ladder-climbing careerist sociopaths before Corbyn but after seeing what you were willing to accept from your MPs in order to stop a pretty milquetoast dem soc leadership achieving anything it has become quite plain that Labour is not a suitable vehicle for progressive ideas.

So basically, unless your lad sacks the entire front bench of spineless genocide enthusiasts, stops the senseless bullying of trans ppl, nationalises everything in fucking sight...

...and expunges every last penny of Israeli money from the party in the first 2 weeks of leadership we're probs not coming back, yeah? Dickheads.

I'm no political analyst but I've been a lot righter about a lot of stuff in the last decade than some who get paid for that shit. Mainly by reading what some anon called StalinsLongForeskin69 or whatever wrote on twitter tbh

but I am telling you now that unless AndyfuckinPandy does something about FPTP or somehow makes the Labour party compatible with a Green/lib dem coalition you are looking at a Reform/Tory link up at the next election for suresies. 100%.
