<del>Thread</del> <del>To errr is Human</del> There's a reason that AI art has a different quality to human crafted artefacts The difference is in the errors and imperfections.

Imperfections are what give away the artist's story. In the case of humans it is a story that goes back billions of years, starting with biogenesis and evolving into tech enabled humans we are today. AI is just another technology. It can't be an artist in its own right.

As an artist, the AI doesnt have much to go on: only a mountain of simulacra, which it mines relentlessly, in search of ways to distill them into the essence of what we desire.

But the AI artist has no meaningful connection with the fabric of reality. Its minute mperfections don't make us feel anything. They always leaving us wanting more. #dalle #aiart
