Happy Say Day! #Improv

I'm not going to tag a bunch of people. But I will say to all of the improv community: I appreciate you. I appreciate the privilege it is to literally play games with other adults, often several times a week.

I appreciate that most grown-ass people don't have that privilege, and it's a shame that they don't. They could, though! We literally play games. So many different games.

And not the toxic kind of games many adults "play" with each other to gain some kind of advantage or "neg" others to elevate themselves. Nope!

Joyous, collaborative, makes-us-laugh-til-sometimes-we-might-even-pee-ourselves-a-little-bit, sometimes-moves-us-to-saying-awwww games.

I yes-and all of you, and am so damned grateful that when I came back to performing, improv is what I came back to. So grateful that I can be dropped into any city, and if there's improv being done there, I can find my people.

And the people in KC, my latest city, are off-the-charts great improvisers, great players, and most of all, great people.

And Seattle? I miss all of you. Know that there's a heart still full of you, but now pumping in the Midwest.

And big ups to the folx from my younger improv daze, many of whom I got to see last year, as we celebrated 50 years of Mee-Ow.

Go forth and yes-and each other, and take a moment (or longer!) to appreciate these beautiful people in your lives.
