Hats off and thank you to the Garden Media Guild team for organising the rather splendid Awards lunch at The Savoy yesterday. Having project managed a fair few Rose Festivals ourselves we know all the hard work and thought that goes into a big event!

We were very pleased to sponsor the Features Photographer of the Year award. Many congratulations to Jason Ingrams - it was lovely to see you! Also lovely to see David Domoney, over the years he has been a kind and knowledgeable supporter of the Rose of the Year.

A pleasure to invite a few folk as our guests. In appreciation of their help in spreading the word about Rose of the Year & the British Rose Trade. There are others we’d have liked to invite. I suggested that perhaps we could have a second table - but Ian went very pale… 😳

A few pics of ‘Meteor’ Rose of the Year 2024. A spectacularly healthy Kordes rose. Orange petals darken to deep red in sunlight. These images (all from this year) makes me realise we had a good bit of sun! Stormy weather for us all this weekend, please take care everyone.
