Prediction time. The first bombings by the right wing militias riding the energy from the 1/6 pardons will occur in US polling locations during the 2026 midterms.

First we’ll see the mail in ballot boxes targeted, like we did this past year. Those will weirdly be dispersed, not centered on any specific partisan area. That’ll energize both bases, and will be followed by bombing polling stations in dense urban areas, likely blue cities in otherwise red/swing states. Think Columbus, OH.

There is a small possibility of a false flag operation as well, but it’s less likely given that their base is already energized. This will lead to militarization and potential consolidation of polling stations, which will drive down turnout in those areas not just for 2026, but for 2028. I’m not sure who is going to run in 2028, my bet is someone within the Trump family. The Red Kennedys. There will be a lot of hubbub about securing polling stations, and increasing access to mail-in-ballots.

In 2028, there will be widespread bombings of post offices, whose security will have been gutted as they’re increasingly driven to privatization. As well as bombings of ballot boxes, by this point there will be an armed wing of the right know to the left—but right won’t acknowledge them as such. Think Proud Boys. Potentially with enough compromised mail-in-ballots—some states may invalidate mail-in voting for certain precincts, or allow people who submitted mail-in-ballots to vote in person.

This will stir controversy, introduce potential errors into the voting systems, and delay vote counting while widespread fear brought on by memories of the polling station bombings from 2026 are brought to mind. On Election Day 2028, it will be quiet in the morning. Then there will be bombings occurring around 2pm, just enough time for fear to spread before people get out of work. The goal is to keep the urban working class in swing states from voting.

The aftermath is going to be chaotic; all goes according to plan, early vote counting will swing strongly Republican, and attempts to sort out mail-in-ballots will face serious delays from the bombings. Left wing protests will erupt across the country, these protests will serve as the justification for deployment of the national guard, with the violence from the pollling station bombings drowned out on national media with footage of antifa clashing with troops.

Thus begins the ascent of the Trump dynasty, and the steep descent towards fascism turns to free fall. There will be widespread distrust of the voting system on both sides, and each will believe that the other is driving the violence. The Republicans will have their hands on the reins of the military. Right wing militias will go quiet, all anti-state violence will look like it’s coming from the left, and the mass media will have a clear ‘order vs disorder’ narrative to blast nationwide.

If you made it this far, thank you and I’m sorry. I’m just writing it now, because my brain spat it out in one narrative arc and I needed it out of my head. I have zero qualifications, zero foresight, and it’s correct to call this out as a worst case trauma prediction. It’s a valid critique to say it’s leftist hysteria, or naive hyperbole. I just needed it out of my head. /fin
