That park was the inspiration for one of the most interesting writing experiences of my career. The novel Jurassic Ark. <a href="https://davidniallwilson.com/the-novels/standalone-novels/jurassic-ark/">https://davidniallwilson.com/the-novels/standalone-novels/jurassic-ark/</a></p> <p>This book was supposed to be a satire piece about Dinosaurs on the ark, to make fun of the whole story and the premise, but from the very first scene I wrote, it took off on a tangent I&#39;ll never forget. </p> <p>What happened was, I had to come to terms with the events in the original fantasy (yes, that&#39;s what I believe it to be). A man of deep faith. A prophecy. The concept everyone that helped them build the ark, everyone they knew would die.</p> <p>What happened was a very personal novel that is now very unfortunately titled. I think it&#39;s someone WITHOUT the strictures of pretending belief in mythology addressing a story with deep personal pain. I added magic, and (of course) dinosaurs. Even unicorns. I love this book.
