OK I’m not some great Middle East expert I’m just a guy. But there are 93 million people that live in Iran. Our government is talking about it like it’s some terrorist state that must be eliminated as an imminent threat to the United States.

A lot of people don’t travel, but if you travel, at least the way I’m talking about, you appreciate different ways of life on Earth that various human tribes have figured out. You appreciate what sounds trite, that diversity and openness is at the heart of humanity.

We’re all just people all over the world. Those 93 million people that live in Iran have beautiful new babies, and graduations, and secret crushes, and they’re just people. If you went to their village or business with openness they’d give you a cup of tea

and a nice seat and you’d both learn something new about life. The Iranians aren’t their government and politicians, neither are we.

I agree the government’s bad. I don’t like theocracies of any sort. But it’s for them to figure out. We’re over here.

There are plenty of ways we can help the people there. Destroying their country, what they have built over generations and millennia, and slaughtering them, won't help them.

That is what war means. And on both sides. Enough dead American kids. I wonder why the younger generations are messed up? What did that friend or classmate do to die in utterly failed politicians wars?

No war with Iran. To do it, to support it, is to support a great and obvious wrong.
