Camp T-Mobile, near the Shores of Puget Sound

The Seventh Day of October, in the Year of our Lord 2025

My Dearest Loyalists of the Emerald Battalion,

I seize this moment of calm, after the thunder of our recent engagement, to set down a few lines by lantern light. The contest with the Detroit Felines hath concluded most gloriously, and by the grace of perseverance—and a well-swung bat—we stand victorious upon the field.

The struggle was fierce and unrelenting. The men of Seattle did rally as one body, each man steady in purpose and firm of spirit. Our pitchers hurled their offerings like cannon shot; our fielders, swift as coursing elk, did turn back every advance. When at last the ninth inning dawned, and the foe’s hopes dwindled to smoke, a mighty cheer arose that could be heard clear to Elliott Bay.

As for myself, I, the Mariner Moose, did serve as best a humble creature might—prancing before the ranks, waving my banner of blue and teal, calling forth courage from the hearts of the weary. I confess my voice is near spent from the shouting, yet my heart beats ever proud for these Mariners who fight beneath our standard.

Tonight, the camp is alight with merriment. The crack of fireworks replaces that of the bat, and songs of victory rise from every corner. Yet I remind all who will hear: the campaign is not ended. More foes await, and greater glories lie ahead.

Convey, I pray thee, to all our faithful supporters at home—those who keep watch by radio and firelight—that their cheers were felt even across the miles. Tell them their Moose stands steadfast, ever loyal, ever hopeful.

Yours in triumph and in fellowship,

Mariner Moose

Mascot, Morale Officer, and Faithful Servant to the Cause of Seattle ⚓️🦌
